Q. Is the Lions Club app on the Google Play store?
A. The Lions Club app is on the Google Play store but is currently in a closed alpha test as required by Google. Once the test is complete the app will be available to all on the Google Play store.
To be a tester for the Lions Club app and help us get it on general release on the Google Play Store please email: membership@lionsclubbridgwater.com
Q. Why is the app not available on the Apple app store?
A. Simply because of cost. Apple charge a premium to host apps on their app stores
Q. Will the app pass the play protect safe app scan?
A. Yes, the app will pass the play protect app scan so you can be sure the app is safe to install.
Q. Why do I have to enable install from unknown sources?
A. By default your device is set to only install apps from manufacturer storefronts e.g Google Play & Apple App stores. Enabling install from unknown sources allows the installation of apps not available on the default device app store.
Q. Why is there a new app?
A. The old app was made with Thunkable who have now changed their pricing plan. We have now created our app with MIT AI2 to ensure no cost is involved with the maintenance and deployment of our app.
